Upcoming in April

Community Seder

The Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast will hold its first community Passover Seder on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. – the first night of Passover.

The Seder will be held in the Parkview Room at the Central Park Performing Arts Center, 105 Central Park Drive, Largo. All are welcome.

“The Federation is so pleased to be presenting this inaugural first night community Passover Seder. This event is open to all community members new and old, regardless of synagogue affiliation. This event is especially perfect for community members without family in town – come and be a part of the Federation family,” said Maxine Kaufman, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Rabbi Louis Feldstein will lead the Seder. The rabbi, who moved to St. Petersburg two years ago, is the founder and CEO of Dynamic Change Solutions, a consulting practice focused on strengthening nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and mission-driven businesses. Since launching the business 12 years ago, he has worked with more than 200 organizations and congregations in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Ordained from the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, he previously worked in the Federation system, served monthly as the rabbi of a small congregation south of Atlanta, and worked with college students at the University of Miami, Emory University and a variety of other campuses in Georgia.

“He is a dynamic and popular educator, facilitator, lecturer and scholar-inresidence,” Kaufman said.

The Seder will be catered by In Style Catering (dietary laws observed). Cost is $70 per adult, and $40 per child. Space is limited. Registration is due by March 28 and can be completed at JewishGulf- Coast.org/Passover, or by calling (727) 333-3104.
