Following the success of the first Newcomer Nosh last August, the Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties hosted another newcomer event on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Nearly two dozen people – individuals, couples and families with children – attended the Newcomer Nosh that was held in the Federation’s Community Room at its Largo office.

“We were once again pleased with the turnout,” said Maxine Kaufman, Federation’s director of arts, culture, and education.

The Newcomer Nosh was targeted to those who are new to the area or new to Federation. However, the free event was open to all in the community to meet new people, network and learn more about what is going on in the Jewish community.

“This has proven to be a great event to bring people together and build a sense of community. We hope to host another Newcomer Nosh or similar gathering in the future,” Kaufman said.
