Temple B’nai Israel Clearwater

Brotherhood bike ride: Gather at Weaver Park in Dunedin on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 9 a.m. and bike the Pinellas Trail to the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs and back. There will be rest stops and a lunch break during the 20-mile ride. Bring your own water and snacks.

Cinema café: There will be a showing of the award-winning Israeli film Footnote on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. Popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. There is no charge for members and friends.

Save the date: A tribute to the late Rabbi Daniel Treiser will be held on Monday, Jan. 21 at 5 p.m. featuring the Jewish acapella group Tizmoret. This group is from Rabbi Treiser’s alma mater, Queens College. The program is being cosponsored by the Jewish Federation of Pinellas and Pasco Counties. Tickets are $5 per person and may be purchased by going to jewishpinellas.org.

Nosh and Drosh: On the first Wednesday of every month from noon to 2 p.m., Cal Simon will lead a discussion on a variety of Jewish topics, including family, life cycle, modern Israel, current events and Torah. The class is open to all and there is no charge. Bring your own nosh. Coffee will be provided.

Hebrew classes now forming: Beginner and advanced curricula will be offered. There is a $20 fee for members for the cost of the book. For non-members the cost is $50. The advanced class will be offered on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The beginner class will begin in January.

Adult play time: Join active seniors and play mah jongg, Mexican train dominoes or bridge on Thursdays at 1 p.m. Coffee and cake will be served.
