Hillel accepting applications for next school year

Hillel Academy Tampa is accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year, which begins Aug. 17.

The academy is located on 10 acres along Fletcher Avenue in north Tampa and serves the Tampa Bay area by offering an all-around environment of academic excellence. It offers classes from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade and is a National Blue Ribbon School with a student to teacher ratio of approximately 12-1. It has an enrollment of about 200 students and has before and after care for students of all ages.

The school also offers transportation services from Pinellas County, Westchase and South Tampa.

For nearly half a century, Hillel has been the largest Jewish day school in the region. The academy embraces the diversity, rich culture and traditions of Judaism. Accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council, Hillel is a member of the Jewish Community Day School Network and the National Association of Independent Schools.

Information about the academy and tour scheduling is available by calling (813) 963-2242 and by emailing Cathy Grossman at cgrossman@hillelacademytampa.com.

In addition, information on how to apply is available at www.hillelacademytampa.com/admissions/how-to-apply.cfm.

“Hillel inspires each student to reach his or her full potential in a warm, nurturing, secure environment,” said Grossman, director of admissions at Hillel for more than 16 years. Both of her children are alumni.
