Medical research discussion: The Lylah Pinellas Hadassah chapter will present a panel discussion on Gender Equity in Medical Research on Thursday, April 20 at 7 p.m. at the Inn on the Pond, 2010 Greenbriar Blvd., Clearwater. Patricia Levinson, a gender equity in medical research advocate and a member of Hadassah’s St. Petersburg chapter, will introduce and define the topic. Joining Levinson on the panel will be cardiologist Dr. Vanessa Lucarella, who will discuss cardiovascular illness in women. The third speaker will be Michelle Cameron, BSN MBA, director of clinical research at Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants. Heart healthy snacks will be served. Jews of Bulgaria: The annual Holocaust remembrance breakfast put on by the Greater Tampa Bay B’nai B’rith unit 2603, will present guest speaker Ann Haendel, local social justice advocate, on Sunday, April 16 at 10 a.m. at Inn on the Pond, 2010 Greenbriar Blvd., Clearwater. Haendel will share photos and stories from her recent trip to Bulgaria in a presentation titled: “Who Really Saved the Jews of Bulgaria?” Cost for the brunch is $7. Genealogical Society

Save the date Local historian and author James Schnur will speak on “Preserving our Personal Archives” at the Jewish Genealogical Society of Tampa Bay on Sunday, May 21. The society meets at Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services, 14041 Icot Blvd., Clearwater. Museum travelogue: The North Pinellas chapter of Jewish Women International will meet on Tuesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. Candy Ryan will present a travelogue to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Arkansas. Career counseling: Free personalized job-search and career coaching is offered on Mondays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at at TampaBay-Job-Links, 4100 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 206, Tampa.
