Barbara Birenbaum of Clearwater has just released, Groundhogs Across America, her 15th book and fourth about groundhogs. Birenbaum, a naturalist, blends facts with adventure based on research of historical events. The release of the new book comes on the 25th anniversary of her book Candle Talk, a Hanukkah themed story.

Labor of love…

Bill Sefekar is writing a book about his late father, titled Joe’s Lifelong Legacy. Joe Sefekar, who lived in Palm Harbor, served as administrator of the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington, D.C. and years later was chief financial officer and a major player in getting Ruth Eckerd Hall built and operating. As part of his project to tell about his dad, Bill is posting blogs on a site called Bill, who once had a cableaccess show on Jewish life in Tampa Bay, also did research on and helped write a book, Light: Courage and Hope, with Cantor William Hauben, the former, longtime cantor at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Tampa. Bill is also a teacher-writer for the FAITH Foundation in Tampa.

P.S. As always, I’m looking forward to hearing about all your family simchas. Photos are welcome, too. Send information to: Sincerely Yours, P.O. Box 6970, Clearwater, FL 33758, or e-mail
