Picnic in the hut: There will be a Sukkot picnic in the sukkah on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., followed by services under the stars. The cost is $12.50, for adults; $8.50 for children 4-13. Non-members add $5. RSVP to (727) 531-5829.

Sunday cinema: A showing of Ushpizin, will be presented on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m. in the Makom meeting room. The movie is a heartwarming and humorous Israeli drama about an Orthodox couple, and their Sukkot guests. A discussion will follow. Refreshments will be served and there is no charge.

Adult Hebrew: Classes for beginners and those who need to brush up will be offered Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 26. Learn the aleph-bet, and get familiar with the prayers. There is a $20 charge for books, and non-members pay an additional $30 fee. To enroll, call the temple office (727) 531-5829.

Study the kings: Learn the stories of Israel’s kings, Saul and David, with Rabbi Daniel Treiser on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m., beginning Wednesday, Oct. 26. The class is free for members, $30 for non-members. Reserve your seat by Friday, Oct 14.

Friday Night Live: There will be a musical, spiritual, creative Shabbat service on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Casino Night: A temple fundraiser, Denim, Diamonds & Dice, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Along with casino-style games, the evening will include a live auction .Tickets are $50 before Oct. 20, then $65, and includes entry, two drinks, food and gaming chips.

Kef l’Yeladim program: Preschoolers and parents will meet on Sunday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon for the Kef L’Yeladim program to play, learn and grow together. There is a one-time fee of $36 per child for members, and $72 for non-members, which includes five more monthly classes.
