Annual showcase: Brandeis National Committee (BNC) will present its annual showcase of learning opportunities on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 11:30 a.m. at University Village, 12401 N. 22nd St., Tampa. This event, including a picnic luncheon, is free and open to women and men, Jewish or not, in the Tampa Bay area. The two co-presidents of the organization will speak about the BNC mission to provide philanthropic support to Brandeis University, the only university sponsored by the American Jewish community. Participants are invited to join BNC and sign up for study groups such as literati (book club), short stories, ethical puzzlers, debate bee, and out and about. Career counseling: A free educational and motivational program for job seekers, conducted by a career coach, is offered on Mondays (except for holidays) at the Jack Roth Center for Career Development at TampaBay Job-Links, 4100 W. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 206, Tampa. The LINKS sessions are geared toward those seeking professional employment. Each week a different topic is covered. RSVP is required. Support groups

Alzheimer’s caregiver groups: Menorah Manor’s Bresler Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Program offers a support group meeting in the Samson Nursing Center at Menorah Manor, 255 59th St. N., St. Petersburg, on the first Thursday of the month from 3:30-5 p.m.

The Inn on the Pond and the Alzheimer’s Association offer a support group meeting on the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Inn on the Pond, 2010 Greenbriar Blvd., Clearwater. For more information, call Gwen Kaldenberg, at (727) 302-3750.
