Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

Nina Liu Greenberg

Nina Liu Greenberg, daughter of Joyce Liu and Dave Greenberg of St. Petersburg, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, Aug. 13 at Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg.

An eighth grade Principal’s List student at Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School, Nina is in the Center for Gifted Studies. Nina enjoys writing and favors fantasy and mystery. She plays trumpet in the school jazz band. She also enjoys singing and studying guitar and is interested in marine biology. Nina’s mitzvah project includes advocating for the Coalition of Immokalee Workers and their campaign for Fair Food, along with organizing a Red Sand Project event at Temple Beth-El.

Joyce Liu and Dave Greenberg will host a luncheon at Temple Beth-El on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Special guests will include family and friends from California, Georgia and along the East Coast.
