Make a difference – Volunteer!

“To make a difference is not a matter of accident, a matter of casual occurrence of the tides. People choose to make a difference.” – Maya Angelou

We can think of no better quote to describe our volunteers here at Gulf Coast JFCS! They bring all of their heart and a wide range of skill sets that benefit our clients. From volunteers that give of their time individually, to those that come as a group, we are grateful for the difference they make!

If you are looking to make a difference in your community, we need help with the following:

• Yad b’ Yad mentors are needed to serve as role models and to enrich the lives of our Jewish Youth ages 6 to 17.

• Help us with Fun and Games at our upcoming Summer Midway Event. We need help setting up the games, selling raffle tickets, attending the photo booth and dunk tank, or selling cotton candy. It will be a FUN evening and we’d love to have your help for this event scheduled Friday, Aug 19th 6pm -9pm.

• Help us get our sparkle back by assisting with window cleaning at our main office at the Icot Center in Clearwater.

• Woman to Woman mentors are needed to support a pregnant teen and/or mother in their journey to graduate from high school, obtain employment, and develop as a knowledgeable and nurturing parent.

• Our food pantry could always use a bit of organizing! Sorting, grouping, and stocking the shelves.

The “to do list” never ends and we can use your help. To explore volunteer possibilities or learn more about those mentioned above, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Sheryl Zeitler, at sheryl. or 727-210- 8519.
