Obituaries

CLAIRE ENGELMAN, 86, of St. Petersburg, died Nov. 6. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved here in 1997 from Framingham, MA. She was a homemaker, a member of Temple Beth-El and Brandeis University National Women’s Committee. Survivors include her husband, Arthur; son, Bob of Houston; son, Alan, of Hopkinton, MA; daughter, Eileen, of Franklin, MA; and seven grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Temple Beth-El. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, St. Petersburg Chapel)

LOIS B. FAASEN, 82, of North Redington Beach, died Nov. 17. She was born in Detroit, MI, and moved to Florida in 1970, living in Fort Lauderdale, where she and her husband Ed worked together in real estate and she attended Broward Community College. In 1976 they moved to the West Coast of Florida, where she attended St. Petersburg Junior College, receiving her Associate of Science degree as a licensed dispensing optician. She was last employed by Visionworks in Seminole. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Edward; four children, Debra Singer, of New Buffalo, MI, Susan Weinisch, of Brooklyn, NY, Mark Tilleman, of Louisville, CO, and Michael Tilleman, of Helotes, TX; four step-children, Kimberly Cooper, of Sandusky, OH, Stephanie Buxbaum, of Seminole, Edward Faasen III, of Grand Rapids, MI, Tamara Gaunt, of Byron Center, MI; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
