Superlative student

Michael Warren, son of Dr. Steve Warren of St. Petersburg, and the late Gail S. Warren, was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society at the University of Chicago on June 11, making him the third generation of his family to receive the honor. The induction was attended by fellow Phi Beta Kappas, his father and his grandfather, Dr. Philip Warren, of Sarasota. Last month, Michael also was chosen as a student marshall, the highest University of Chicago award given to the top 2 percent or so of the junior class to recognize exemplary academic achievement and school/community service.

Noam Avraham, born May 4 in Atlanta, to Shoshanah and Joel Blaiss. Big brothers and sister are Eli, Ruben and Talia. Proud grandparents are Jay and Karen Kauffman of Seminole and Terri and Michael Blaiss. Equally kvelling great-grandmother is Ellen Bernstein of South Pasadena.
