Anquished anniversary

Mordechai Ronen, of Toronto, who was a prisoner at the Auschwitz concentration camp when he was an 11-year-old child and lost his mother, father and sisters there, breaks into tears as he walks through the camp, which is now a museum, Jan. 26, in Oswiecim, Poland. Ronen was among about 300 survivors who returned to Auschwitz, where an estimated 1.1 million people were killed, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the camp’s liberation by Soviet forces in 1945.
