Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

B’nai Mitzvah

Cameron Matthew Kleinmetz

Cameron Matthew Kleinmetz, son of Charles and Michelle Kleinmetz of St. Petersburg, will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg.

Cameron is an eighth grade honors student at Madeira Beach Fundamental Middle School. Active in sports, Cameron is an accomplished scuba diver and enjoys spearfishing and fishing. Cameron also plays basketball for various leagues throughout the year.

Rachel Taylor Lenett

Rachel Taylor Lenett, daughter of Wendy and Blake Lenett of Clearwater, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater.

A seventh grade Principal’s List student at Plato Academy of Largo, Rachel is a member of the journalism and computer clubs. She is also a member of Kadima at Beth Shalom and enjoys swimming and reading. For her mitzvah project Rachel visited nursing homes, volunteered at the food bank at Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services and is planning a beach clean up day later this year.

Wendy and Blake Lenett will host a party at Congregation Beth Shalom on Saturday evening, Nov. 1.

Kayla Harmony Reed

Kayla Harmony Reed, daughter of Pam Reed of Palm Harbor, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Temple Ahavat Shalom in Palm Harbor.

A seventh grade honors student at Carwise Middle School, Kayla is a member of the school’s Health and Wellness Committee and is an anchor on the school news program. Kayla studies voice and piano with Singcerely Yours and is a member of the Melody Makers, the Carwise Ladies Chorus and All County Chorus. She was in the summer production of Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Next Stop Broadway, performed in Fiddler on the Roof in Tarpon Springs and will be in her school’s production of Shrek The Musical. She also has participated in the school’s talent shows and temple coffee house. For her mitzvah project, Kayla assisted in the childcare center at the North Pinellas YMCA, and is making a donation to the Suncoast Animal League.

Pam Reed will host a celebration at Temple Ahavat Shalom on Saturday evening, Nov. 8.

Special guests will include family and friends from New York and South Florida.
