Holocaust survivors to discuss effects of sharing their stories

Three Tampa Bay area Holocaust survivors will talk about how telling their individual stories has affected them and their audiences over the years.

Survivors Toni Rinde of Largo, Jerry Rawicki of Seminole, and Judith Szentivanyi of Tampa will participate in a panel discussion at the University of South Floirida on Monday, Oct. 20, moderated by USF professors Carolyn Ellis and Michael Berson.

Following the discussion there will be breakout sessions led by Urszula Szezpinska, curator of education and director of research at the Florida Holocaust Museum, and University of Southern California Shoah Foundation master teacher Brandon Hass.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place at USF Gibbons Alumni Center, Traditions Hall, 4202 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and the program beginning at 6 p.m.
