Learn about Israeli history: The Pasco Hadassah study group will meet as part of the chapter’s general meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. at the JCC. The subject will be the time line of major events in the land of Israel from the time of the Patriarchs until today. Everybody is welcome and dessert will be served.

Support groups

Alzheimer’s caregivers: Menorah Manor’s Bresler Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Program offers a complimentary support group. This group meets in the Samson Nursing Center at Menorah Manor, 255 59th St. N., St. Petersburg, on the first Thursday of the month from 3:30-5 p.m. For more information, call Gwen Kaldenberg, at (727) 302-3750.

Grief support: A bereavement support group sponsored by Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services will meet in the Congregation B’nai Israel library from 1-2 p.m. on Thursdays, Oct. 2, 23 and 30. The group will be led by Renée Baseman of Gulf Coast. The group will use a book, Living With Loss, Healing With Hope, by Rabbi Earl Grollman. The book will be provided for participants and the group meetings are open to the public. A donation of nonperishable food to the GCJFCS food pantry is appreciated.
