DOROTHY HIRSCH, 90, of St. Petersburg, died Jan. 27. She was born in London, England, and had managed a gift shop on the St. Petersburg Pier for many years. Survivors include her cousin, David Hirsch. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, St. Petersburg Chapel)

AARON I. KASSON, 91, of Clearwater, died Jan. 22. Born in Philadelphia, he was a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War ll. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marilyn; son, Howard Kasson (Estrella Parter); and one grandson. The family suggests memorials to Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater. (David C. LEONARD SAMUELS, 87, of Largo, died Jan. 23. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a graduate of Ryder College. He was a life-long businessman and upon his retirement he became a volunteer with the Southeastern Guide Dogs and the Largo Police Department. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; his children, David, Wendy, Todd and wife Jennifer, Rosemarie; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc. at (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Clearwater Chapel)

BERT VENTURA, 84, of Clearwater, died Jan. 24. A native of New York City, he moved to Clearwater in 1970 from Bayside, NY. Survivors include his children; Lori and Mickey Balkin, Susan Ventura and Gary Singer, Ronald Ventura; one granddaughter. The family suggests memorials to The Rhoda and Bert Ventura Staff Appreciation Fund at Easter Seals Florida, 520 N. Semoran Blvd., #280, Orlando, FL 32807. (David C.
