Obituaries

ELSIE BENSKY, 103, of Clearwater, died Aug. 6. Born in New York City, she moved here many years ago and was a homemaker. Survivors include her nephew, Roger Rolfe, of Clearwater. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Clearwater Chapel)

COLEMAN “SANDY” KENNETH MARKMAN, 88, of Palm Harbor, died July 24. He was born in Bronx, NY and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War ll. He was retired and had been a chemist of photographic emulsion at Peerless Photo Products in Shoreham, NY. Survivors included two sons, Steven Markman, Manassas, VA and Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or, Webster; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Stratford Court in Palm Harbor. (Curlew Hills Memory Gardens)

LESLIE H. RADOWITZ, 54, of Clearwater, died Aug. 7. He was a native of Brooklyn, NY and had moved here several years ago. He worked in retail phone sales. Survivors include his brother, Melvin Radowitz. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Clearwater Chapel)

HELENE M. ROBERTS, 79, of Largo, died July 27. A native of New York City, she was a teacher for many years in the Pinellas County Public Schools. Survivors include her husband, Sidney; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Linda Roberts and Michael and Marcy Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Thomas Maiville; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Clearwater Chapel)

HARVEY ROSENBERG, 71, of St. Petersburg, died July 22. He was retired, having worked for many years as a chemical engineer. He was one of the founding members of the Chabad Center of St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of eight years, Naomi; sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Aviva Rosenberg and David and Judy Rosenberg; daughter and son-in-law, Frada and Avrham Stone; brother, Joel Rosenberg; two step-sons and daughter in-law, Robert Born and David and Cheryl Born; sister-in-law and brotherin law, Sara and Joseph Schottenstein; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Osi and Chris Zimmer; 20 grandchildren. SAMUEL SIEGEL, 82, of Dunedin, died Aug. 10. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He moved here in 1977 from his native New York City, he was a Physicist for the U.S. Government. Survivors include two brothers and sister-in-law, Martin Siegel and Max and Ilona Siegel. (David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Clearwater Chapel)

SEYMOUR SIEGEL, 82, of Delray Beach, died July 13. He had worked for many years as a kosher meat wholesaler. Survivors include his wife, Florence; sons and daughters-in-law, Lon and Lori Siegel and Gary and Carole Siegel; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (David C. HOWARD S. SORKIN, 79, of Largo, formerly of Wantagh, NY, died July 19. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was an accountant. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Steven Sorkin, Livingston, NJ and Dr. Richard Sorkin, St. Petersburg; two daughters-in-law, Heather Sorkin and Liliana Sorkin; three grandchildren. (David C.
