New member brunch: On Aug. 15, from 9:30 am to 11:30 a.m. the congregation will host a prospective member brunch. Representatives from the Sisterhood, Brotherhood and board will be at the synagogue to meet and welcome people.

Book talk: The Sisterhood will review the book Zookeeper’s Wife, on Sunday Aug. 22 at 2 p.m. RSVP to Sheila Shear at (813)- 598-6043 for directions.

Community Outreach: Join Congregation Bnai Emmunah from 2-5 p.m. on the first and third Sunday of every month as the synagogue cooks and serves dinner to the less fortunate in the community. Participants meet at Mt. Moriah Church on 772 Disston Ave. S. in Tarpon Springs. Call

Religious school registration: Sunday and Hebrew school will begin on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010. Sunday school is open for kindergarten thru seventh grade and will be from 9-11 a.m. Hebrew school will begin on Sunday Aug. 22nd and will go from 11 a.m. to noon for grades 3 thru 7. Early registration is available until Aug. 1 and will offer a $25 discount. Registration packets can be obtained Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Congregation Bnai Emmunah at (727) 938-9000.
