Actor’s big break…

Jordan Wall, son of David and Batia Wall of Clearwater, will be a regular on the upcoming new A & E television show, The Glades. A graduate of the University of Florida, this is Jordan’s first major role. He plays Daniel Green, a young detective intern, whose quirky nature belies his uncanny insight and abilities to assist in solving crimes in a small Florida town. The show will air weekly Sunday nights at 10 p.m. on A&E cable network, starting July 11. Tune in!

Super students…

Matthew LeVine, son of Dr. Mitchell and Ellie LeVine and grandson of Dr. Morris and Marilyn LeVine, recently received a bachelor’s of science degree in aerospace engineering with highest honors from Georgia Tech University. He plans to remain at Tech for post-graduate studies. Matt is a member of an a capella choir made of Tech students who recently cut a CD, that includes an original song by Matt.

Matt’s sister, Andrea, has her parents and grandparents kvelling, as well. She recently was the recipient the Weiner Education scholarship from the Jewish Federation of New York, providing her with money to complete her master’s degree in education at the Jewish Theological Seminary, followed by a job offer from the Federation. In addition, she also received second prize in a national Birthright Israel essay contest, sponsored by Hadassah.

Barry Ethan Scharfman, grandson of Lily and Milton Sager of Dunedin, recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Wharton School with dual degrees. He plans to continue his post-graduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Welcome to the world…

Dalia Nora Causby, born April 22, to Jennifer and Ronald Causby of Seminole. Dalia’s proud big brother is Ron. Kvelling bubbie and zeide are Nancy and Dennis Schulman of Largo and grandma Pat Causby of Seminole. A baby naming ceremony was held at Beth Shalom in Clearwater on May 9.
