No decision yet on new school
At press time, parents planning a new Tampa Bay Jewish Academy had not yet rescheduled a community rally regarding the new school.
Spokeswoman Elisabeth Dasilva said the organizing committee wants to finalize a location and other details first. Several synagogues have offered their facilities for the school.
The emphasis now is getting a K-5th Grade school up and running for the new school year, and keeping a Jewish school in Pinellas County, she said.
Long-term possibilities are still being discussed.
The 30-year-old, financially-troubled Pinellas County Jewish Day School closed at the end of the school year.
