Call of ex-terrorist turned minister: ‘Wake up America’
Americans need a wake up call about the threat of Muslim extremists, self-described former PLOtrained terrorist Kamal Saleem said during an appearance in Clearwater April 20.
More than 150 people listen to Kamal Saleem, a self-described former Muslim terrorist, at a program co-sponsored by the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties and B’nai B’rith. “Today, our government is infiltrated. The FBI and CIA are infiltrated. The invasion is on. The infiltration is on. If we don’t stand and fight, we will never win this war. Wake up America,” urged Saleem during his talk before more than 150 people. The audience included both Jews and non-Jews.
The program, held at Congregation Beth Shalom in Clearwater. was sponsored by the Pinellas- Pasco Jewish Federation’s Jewish Community Relations Council and B’nai Brith.
Saleem, an author and lecturer, said nearly 20 percent of the world’s Muslims were zealots who were determined to destroy the United States and take over the world.
He said he had been trained to be one of those zealots from his birth in Lebanon. He said he was taught by his mother to kill Jews and told that if he died as a martyr, he and his family would go to Paradise.
Saleem went on his first mission to smuggle arms into Israel when he was 7 years old, he said. A year later, he saw his best friend killed on a similar mission.
When he was 19, he was sent to England on a “culture Jihad” to spread Muslim beliefs and influence. Later, he came to the United States on a student visa with the same goals.
“I came to the United States to finish the grand jihad,” Saleem said.
In 1985, he was seriously injured in a car accident and was helped by American Christians and Jews, which he said changed his beliefs. He converted to Christianity, renounced terrorism and became a U.S. citizen.
He said he prayed to Allah asking for answers to his questions about his life, but got no answer. Now, he said, he prays to Jehovah.
‘’We must stand for Israel and the Jews. God has given the land (Israel) to the Jews,” Salaam said.
Kamal Saleem is now an ordained Christian minister. He and his wife, Victoria, share a passion for teaching on radical Islam’s true agenda, and the power of praying for Muslims around the world.
Together they started Koome Ministries in 2006, and spend much of their time speaking across the country at churches, secular schools, universities and organizations, including before Jewish groups.
