Temple Beth-El St. Petersburg

Honoring mothers: The Brotherhood’s second annual Mother’s Day brunch will he held at the temple on Sunday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to noon. Moms eat free and the menu includes omelettes, salads, lox, bagels, French toast, mimosas, cookies, juices, milk and coffee. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Funds raised will be used to help send children to Jewish summer camps. RSVP at (727) 347-6136 by May 6.

Final film: The season finale for the Tenple Beth-El Jewish Heritage Film Festival will be Sunday, May 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a showing of Praying With Lior. The film is about a young man with Down Syndrome as he prepares to become Bar Mitzvah.

Young at Heart: The Young at Heart group will meet on Wednesday, April 28 at 4:30 p.m. at Mangos at the Doubletree Hotel, 17120 Gulf Blvd., North Redington Beach at 4:30 p.m. RSVP to Donna and Irv Zeling at 392-1717.

Time to give: Mitzvah Day will take place all day on Sunday, April 25 with signin, breakfast and opening events from 8:30- 9:30 a.m.

Blood drive: Temple Beth-El Brotherhood blood drive will be Sunday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All donors will receive a limited edition T-shirt, a wellness checkup which includes a cholesterol screening, and the chance to save lives. Lunch and learn: Bring a brown bag lunch and participate in a discussion with

Rabbi Michael Torop on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m Everyone is welcome and no prior attendance is required.

Yiddish Vinkle: The Yiddish Vinkle Group meets every Tuesday 10-11:30 a.m. with conveners Saverio Zuchovicki and Adele Pascar.
