Tu B’Shevat seder: There will be a sit down oneg featuring a Tu B’Shevat seder on Friday, Feb. 3 following the 8 p.m. services. USY members will participate in the services and welcome all former USY members, as well as those who have participated in any youth programs sponsored through the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Bark Mitzvah service: The second annual Bark Mitzvah will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. in the temple courtyard, with Rabbi Michael Torop officiating. A suggested donation of $10 per pet or $18 for a family of pets is suggested, with a portion of the funds going to the SPCA of Tampa Bay. All pets must be on a leash or in a stroller or crate. A light dairy nosh will be served.

Modern life class: A course on Judaism’s relevance in modern life, part of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute’s Torah Studies, will be taught by Rabbi Alter Korf from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays through March 28. The series began earlier in January, but participants can join anytime.

Mitzvah Day: The Sheila Weinstock Mitzvah Day will be held on Sunday, Feb. 12. It is expected that at least 200 or more congregants will participate in projects for people of all ages. To register for the event, go to the TBI website at www.TBIclearwater.org. Breakfast will be provided and after projects are completed, there will be a barbecue. Participants should check in at 8:30 a.m.

Family service: A Kabbalat Shabbat family service will begin on Friday, Feb. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. A dinner will follow with delicacies associated with the new year of the trees, Tu B’Shevat. There will be songs and activities for the entire family. The cost is $14 for adults and $7 for children. RSVP to the synagogue office.

Rummage sale: The Sisterhood’s eighth annual rummage sale will be Sunday, Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Monday, Feb. 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Congregants are asked to bring in toys, clothes, books, shoes, household and electrical items and furniture. There is storage space at the temple, and for larger items, pickups can be arranged.

Women’s Yeshiva Shabbat: Florida’s only college for Jewish women, the Chaya Aidel Seminary of Hallandale, will be spending Shabbat at Chabad of Pinellas County on Saturday, Feb. 11. The program, hosted by Young Israel Chabad Women’s Group, includes services at 9:30 a.m., followed by a kiddush and then a delicious luncheon for women only at 1 p.m.
